All About Hepatitis C

In the early stages of this disease it’s considered ‘silent’ meaning there are little to no symptoms present. As the disease progresses, however, and the liver becomes damaged, there symptoms are present:

Causes of Hepatitis C

The hep C virus (HCV) spreads through contaminated blood either from birth, coming in contact with infected blood, sharing needles or something similar.


The prognosis for this disease is pretty good ! Many patients are able to manage their symptoms or they’re able to get a liver transplant if it comes to that. HCV sometimes leads to cirrhosis but usually takes between 20 to 30 years to get to that point.
